Cancellation Policy and terms of service

We are so excited that you are planning to join one of our choirs or programs. Before you sign up, check out the following info to make sure we are all on the same page.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you are not able to join choir after booking your spot, you can request a refund up to one week before the first session of your choir cycle. After this point, refunds will not be issued unless we can fill your place.

If we have to cancel one or more sessions due to the pandemic or other unforeseen circumstances, we will either run rehearsals virtually or make up sessions once we can resume in-person singing. Which option we choose will depend on the circumstances and guidelines offered by the government. Any refunds will be issued at NYCP discretion.

In any instance that a refund is issued, the 5% processing fee you paid when signing up cannot be refunded, as this fee is paid directly to our registration platform.

COVID-19 Specific Terms

  • For the duration of a choir cycle: All choir members must agree that if they test positive for COVID and have attended rehearsal since being exposed, they will report it to their choir leader. The choir leader will then relay this information (keeping the choir member anonymous) to all participants. All choir members must then follow official guidelines for potential exposure and NYCP will cancel rehearsals if necessary.

  • While NYCP is adhering to all laws and official guidelines, we have no way of fully preventing the risk of transmission. By registering to take part in one of our choirs you are agreeing that you understand the risks and in the event that you contract COVID-19, NYCP will not be liable.

General Terms of Service​

  • Lost property – NYCP does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. ​

  • We do not accept liability for personal injury or illness to any choir member during rehearsal.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure we have your information correct, and to inform us of any changes or relevant health issues.

  • We do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control, e.g. COVID, transportation, fire, weather, unplanned venue changes, or similar.

  • NYCP reserves the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
