MAKING HARMONY A WALK IN THE PARK
We heard that folks on the Upper West Side were down-to-earth, community-minded and culturally curious, and thought “what a coincidence, that’s exactly the kind of person who thrives in our choirs.” (It only took us 14 years to make the connection.)
Enter Parkside Choir, the newest addition to our NYCP family. Led by Shane Dittmar, one of our newest choir leaders and a heck of a human, it’s a new interpretation of our winning formula: Pop, rock, and indie. Classics and deep cuts. Brilliant 5- (sometimes 6-) part harmony. An no pressure. Just groovy music, great friends and the kind of laughs that dissolve the day away.
Oh, and it’s in a church, but don’t let that sway you (one way or the other) - the closest to worship we’ll get is probably Chappell Roan or Prince.
So if you’re looking for a local place to let your inner diva loose, you’re already there.
